Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Ltd, part of the Igne Group of companies, are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their successful and expanding team in Hamilton, Glasgow. You will be responsible for managing large, complex ground investigation projects and having the expertise to write first class interpretative reports, this individual is expected to bring a significant amount of experience in ground investigation and be chartered or actively working towards it.
We are Igne Group Limited, a synergetic amalgamation of six companies, renowned within our respective fields, with over 350 years of combined experience. A one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services. Igne’s six service categories are: site investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, water wells, geothermal, and geo-environmental.

Key Responsibilities
- Safety – risk assessment and site safety
- Management of large ground investigations
- Site and office based supervision of staff
- Interpretative and factual reporting
- Site preparation, supervision and management
- Project management
- Data management
- Mentoring of junior staff
- Risk Assessment and Method Statement Production
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- BSc in Civil Engineering or similar
- BS5930, Eurocodes etc, Specification for GI
- Risk Assessment & Site Management experience
- Project and Client Management
- Reporting
- Five to ten years in the ground Investigation industry
- Extensive experience of site management of larger investigations – multiple aspects
- Extensive commercial and contractual awareness
- Good client management skills and experience
- Qualifications - CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, EUSR1
