Mobile Plant Fitter

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Plant Fitter with expertise in maintaining rotary drilling rigs and CPT rigs to join our exceptional team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Plant Fitter to join our team in the South East/Kent area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing Igne’s plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency. Plant includes rotary drilling rigs, CPT (Cone Penetrating Test) rigs and demining equipment. 

Experience with Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) rigs would be advantageous but is not essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of plant according to manufacturer guidelines. 

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. 

Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components as needed. 

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status. 

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. 

Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities and minimise downtime. 

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required. 

Requirements: 

Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, preferably with expertise in maintaining rotary drilling rigs. 

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 

Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Valid driver's licence
