THE COMPANY

Working with you to improve our built environment by providing competent, fit-for-purpose and cost effective investigation solutions.

Allied Exploration & Geotechnics Limited (AEG) began operations in February 1988 as an independent site investigation company. We have maintained a vibrant track record having been engaged on numerous prestigious projects by many of the leading UK Client, Consultant and Main Contractor organisations. In November 2019 the company entered a new exciting phase after Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Ltd (RDG) acquired a majority shareholding stake. Being part of the Raeburn Group not only offered the best commercial opportunity for the future, it also constituted an outcome that had the potential to expand and strengthen our existing service scope of ground investigation focused capabilities.

The Company retains an enhanced competitive and comprehensive UK wide service that provides the highest standards of geotechnical and environmental investigation in accordance with recognised ISO and industry compliant third-party accredited management systems. We are fully resourced to undertake a broad range of site investigation contracts efficiently and effectively in accordance with industry guidelines and quality standards for drilling, sampling and in-situ testing. Our plant based services are extensive, including low-headroom (for restricted access) and standard cable percussion rigs, various capacity rotary rigs (most configured for dynamic sampling techniques), tracked and wheeled window sampler units, as well as supported by low-pressure tracked access platforms (for soft ground access) and sonic drilling services available through the Raeburn Group.

Our services range from initial desk study preparation and investigation design, through to detailed site work operations, environmental and post-monitoring procedures and their associated reporting phases. Site services are backed by our in-house UKAS accredited geotechnical laboratory facility that covers an extensive range of soil and rock testing procedures. This includes quality control in-situ testing services for roads and landfill sites. The Company retains a strong geotechnical and environmental reporting facility which uses gINT® and other commercial software to prepare initial desk studies to factual or interpretative engineering assessment reports in accordance with AGS data transfer standards.

Our objectives are to successfully meet the technical demands, service delivery and Client expectation placed upon us during ground investigation programmes, regardless of their size or complexity, in an accurate, quality driven and responsible manner. Helping to improve our built environment by providing competent, fit-for-purpose and cost effective ground investigation solutions.
